I made the scarf and picked up some goodies, and then at our town tree lighting ceremony they had a craft fair and this little old lady was selling those... I couldn't resist... it is a scissors holder! So, although I didn't make it, it is hand made! ha ha! I love my knitted scarf that I made ...Great scarf! I love my knitted scarf that I made last year. I would think that the pot holder thing is for a pot handle, too. I have one similar to that and I use it all the time because none of my pots or skillets have handles with heat proof material on them.
