OK....so this is what happens when you are too excited to start a project and you just want to glance over the directions of how to do something and use the wrong template and screw it all up! What a waste of time! Thats ok though, I am not going to let this get me down, I just thought you could all use a good laugh!!!!! There is no way possible this will form into a ball, believe me I tried! Unless you consider it an octogan stuffed thingie! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

Actually I wias thinking of stuffing it a little bit and making a hot pad, what do ya think?
The only problem with it is how you lined up the two halves to connect them. You are actually pretty close! An easy mistake to make!
haha! that is so funny! i can totally relate to that feeling of being so excited that there seems no time to stop and read the directions.
I think it would make a great hotpad. That is if you need a hot pad. Just remember you MUST use Cotton batting if you do make it a hot pad, otherwise you will burn yourself with melted polyester fibers. OW! or OUCHHHH as Savannah likes to say.
I cannot believe I lined up the halves, I amsuch a dork. It's kinda like your eyes get all messed up looking at all these demensions and then putting it all together.
Thanks for the tip Meagan, I was wondering about that. Guess I will have to make another trip to Joann's...twist my arm!
ok, am i missing something here or is it that 7 hexagons do not make half a ball, but 1 pentagon and 5 hexagons (like a soccer ball) or 6 pentagons. from what i can figure, it doesn't matter how much you don't line up the halves, it still won't make a ball. not that this is a relevant point anymore since you already cut out the correct piece.
I know, I used the wrong pattern, I'm a dork, I jsut needed a little help and thank God Derrek had the patience! I just kept trying to sew it together, for the love of God I don't know why! I thought it could make a cool ornament, but it would be kind of big, never mind! You all needed a good laugh and I am glad, it's good to laugh!
