:-) I've been busy

So I finished the really ugly scarf I was making. I ended up sewing it in half, since I made it in stockinette stitch.... now I know better. But, my 5 year old loves it and thinks it is the best thing ever. He begged me early on to have it and since I promised I HAD to finish it. I finished another project, but won't post a picture... hee hee. Now I have started this! Suprise, suprise - ANOTHER SCARF! ha ha ha. I feel a little more daring and am trying a ribbed scarf this time around. I was going to try the seed stitch, but it just seemed to time consuming, I kept getting confused. After I finish this I want to make a hat. Then perhaps socks! I have a friend here that makes socks and they look so cool. So that is it. Nothing too exciting. Oh- anyone know a good place to order yarn? The only store here I can find it in is teeny tiny and has a very small selection.

I just want to say that I realize I am a total idiot!! I know that I spelled surprise wrong.. twice no less! AND I forgot a second 'o' in my 'too time consuming'. I swear I used to be a halfway intelligent person a long time ago. Next time I will spell check. Promise.

oh!oh!oh! me! i know where you can order yarn online. my favorite place to order is Webs at www.yarn.com. they have great sales. i like the Rowan, RYC and Debbie Bliss yarns the best. also Knitpicks is good too and it might be easier to find yarn since they only sell one brand (theirs) and you can search by weight, fiber, etc.

NICE! wow, i'm totally impressed tina! i'm jealous. how are you not clumsy with those needles? i can't get them to work! can't they make knitting needles with a foot pedal?

um.. i'm sorry. i got so excited at the idea of someone buying yarn i failed to mention that i think it's fabulous that you are continuing to knit and want to make socks! i can tell that you are going to be a great knitter because your stitches are very neat. check out these super cute baby socks: http://www.interweave.com/knit/interweave_knits/web_projects/Better_Than_Bootie.pdf

i keep meaning to try this pattern out. it seems like it would be a quick knit since they are so small.

i don't know why that link is being cut off. anyway, you can google "interweve better than booties baby socks" if you are interested.

That looks great! I have been doing so much crochet lately that I haven't had time to knit, but seeing your makes me want to get back to it! I love the ribbing. It will be really nice.

And I am really excited about the address for the socks - thanks Marie. I am wanting to try socks myself.
