Today is election day across
some of this nation. Do you know if there is an election in your area today? If your area is holding an election or polling on issues today, are you all going to the polls to exercise your right to be involved in your local governments? You can find out if your area has voting today and where your local polling location is
here if you're not sure where to go to cast your vote. Okay, I'm done. I'll get off my soapbox now.

I hate to admit this, but I was not even aware that it was election day. Shame on me.
i checked and we don't have any elections today in florida. the next day elections are up here is the presidential preference primary, january 29.
How interesting! There is always a state or local ballot on the second Tuesday in November in Texas and since that is the national election day in presidential years, I assumed it was a national polling day every other year too. Maybe Florida just didn't have any issues to vote on this time. Do you recall having polling on other 2nd Tuesdays in November other than presidential years?
hmm, no i sure don't. but you know what we've really only lived here for two consecutive novembers and there was one last year, for governor. when del was in korea we voted for president, other than that we've voted absentee ballot. but they usually send us stuff in the mail making sure we're registered to vote and letting us know what the issues are. del and i have decided that if texas decides to secede from the union because of how wacky the rest of the country gets we're packing up the fam and moving to the great country of texas.
We have elections today, but I haven't registered to vote here since we moved. I've been so bad. I haven't even changed my address on my license. But I just requested a pin number so that I can do that soon. THanks for reminding me.
And Kainoa! Shame on you! I had to laugh cause I'm not sure I know anyone in Hawaii who actually votes. It's funny to me (but no haha funny) cause I had no idea until I joined the military that some people take voting so seriously. A Marine Major scolded me when I told him I had never voted and I was so taken aback that he could get so angry at me for that. Anyway, I see now that it's a great privilege and if I don't vote, I see it as kind of an insult to all those people in the world who don't have the same right.
Yes, one of the great things about the government of Texas - not only can we secede from the union, we can divide into five seperate states if we want to! Although, I am sure none of the five areas would be willing to drop the name "Texas," and we are all too proud of being the biggest state in the continuous 48, so it will never happen!
Marie, we have lived in our house for 2 1/2 years now and Jerry still hasn't registered to vote here. Every time it rolls around and I go to vote, he says, "I really need to register. Gee, I really thought I did that when I got my driver's license changed. Hmmm, wonder what happened." It cracks me up because it is the same conversation every time.
So, anyway, because of FL I did change the wording of the post! Don't want to be misinformed!
Gosh...what a subject, I just went to work today and came home, as far as I know from watching the news and all there were no elections. Bad Marie too! Haha, we are funny. I am still registered to vote in Hawaii, so I better get a move on! I can't wait to vote for president!
okay, I have NO CLUE what is going on..... I am by far the worst here. Being in the UK, I obviously don't hear the US news too much. Actually I don't often hear much other than Dora and Diego these days. Not sure where we are on the voting process, aaron and I. Are we still Ohio residents? We do not pay taxes.... not even federal since we live overseas full time.... so I am not sure where we fall. I have to ask Aaron.
