Happy Anniversary!

I was looking at the older posts trying to find a picture of Caleb to use as the background on my work computer (yes, I'm hard at work right now:) and I realized that the first posts to this blog were on 12/20/2006! It doesn't seem like it's been that long. I suppose because it didn't feel *right* until all of our members joined. Joanna and I started this blog because I'm talented at filling my life up with too many things to do and was consistenly neglecting my original knitting blog. I thought since Joanna was really starting to get into sewing, it would be much more fun and interesting if we blogged together. My inspiration was the Mason-Dixon Knitting blog. These two friends live in Manhattan and Nashville. And since Joanna left me here in the DC area all alone, I thought it would be an excellent way to keep in better touch. Joanna really has been such a dedicated blogger from the beginning and I appreciate this so much. And I love, love, LOVE that Johanna, Meagan, Kainoa and Tina have joined us. Even though we live so far away from each other, we are bonded by our crafty endeavors. I hope you all know how much I appreciate the time you take to post about the things you are making and interesting ideas and websites. Also, thank you for commenting with honesty and thoughtfulness. You continue to inspire me to clear some space in my life to create, to dream and to use up the rediculously large stash of yarn I have acquired over the years. I really love you guys!

Happy anniversary to you both! Since I didn't join until much later, I guess it isn't technically my anniversary though! I have had more fun with this and I am so glad you both decided to invite friends to join! You are awesome!
