Ahhhh, relaxation.

Okay, here in England tomorrow is Mother's Day! So I officially get the weekend off! :-)
I am spending my evening with a new book and a perfect 'cuppa' in my fancy teacup. Tomorrow my church is providing all the 'mums' with a homemade breakfast. Nice, huh?
I hope to have my finished sock (yes, just one ha ha) and another scarf (yes, ANOTHER scarf-ha) to post in the next day or two. (finally stopped pulling out and restarting that darn scarf for my mom!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend :-)

Oh, that would be great, you should all save some money and fly out here! Hey, it is only $1000 a person. Who doesn't have that lying around??!! ha ha

Oh, sure. Only $1000! If I had known it was only $1000, I would have been there last week! :)

Happy Mum's Day, Tina! Enjoy the pampering!

i was in Ireland one year during mother's day. I started to get all bent out of shape that I had forgotten and I was a bad daughter etc etc. So I bought a card and a little gift and gave it to her when she picked me up at the airport. She just laughed at me and reminded me that 'our' mother's day isn't until May. oops!

lol! that's a good story.

oh! that would be such fun to have a Mother of Invention Convention in England! i know it will happen one day. we will all meet and tina and i will teach the non-knitters to knit. and then we can all go yarn shopping and have a ridiculously large and happy yarn stash. maybe all of our kids will grow up and make lots of money and then they will buy us plane tickets because they love us so much. what was that korean word? the one that meant that you have to shower your parents with goodies when they get old? filial piety or something. maybe that wasn't the exact meaning, but something like it.

so instead of waiting for our children one of us should just win the lottery. That would be much faster.... so I will start the praying... who is going to buy the lottery tickets?

I hope you have a wonderful peaceful weekend!!!

i've set a goal of dying without ever have bought (grammar help please?) a lottery ticket, so I'm out. Even though I've never bought one, I still daydream about what I'd do if I did.

we're trying to buy a house so i'm out.

I've bought 2 lotto tickets when it was over $225 million before - even though the chances of winning are less than the chances of getting struck by lightning twice! The funny thing is, even though we don't play the lottery at all, we occasionally have the "what would we do if we won the lottery?" conversation! It's fun to dream, anyway!

Hey, we have that conversation too! And, like the rest of you we don't play either... just because I hate wasting even a dollar when I know I am not going to win.... fun to dream though!
