Cute Inspiration

So I have never had much luck with Martha Stewart's website, because I can never figure out how to find the crafts. I mean there is a search feature for the recipes but not on for the crafts??? Anyways, I just happened to follow a link there tonight though and came across some really cool ideas for those looking for baby gifts for friends and relatives. One of them was crocheted baby shoes that looked really cute but I could never make. I know though that there has been some interest in them here lately so I thought I would share. Here you go, craft away! Martha Stewart's ideas

thanks meagan, those are really cute. i get annoyed crocheting baby booties because they *always* turn out crooked and lumpy and ugly. i'm not gifted with needles unless it's a blanket i'm making or stuck in my sewing machine i guess. or i'm hand sewing something. or cross stitching something. ok i stink at needles with no holes in them.

Those are cute, but the directions totally stink! I think I know what they are saying, but it is very unclear...

they're really cute! but i agree with Johanna, it would be better if they'd included picture of how to sew it up. i think i get it anyhow, so maybe i will try it out and post some step-by-step pictures. i like that thin yarn was used. makes the booties look so delicate.

lol... Yeah I know. None of the MS crafts ever have good directions. Thankfully most of the stuff I would ever attempt don't really require much cause they are pretty straight forward. I thought it was pretty funny too that they would include the pictures from other peoples work and not credit them and send you to the other person's instructions. Case in point - The last idea with the hand quilted pink baby blanket is one of the projects that I had admired int the last minute gifts book. Thought it looked familiar huh???
