For Christmas Del gave me cool new chef's knives, a small quilting table for my machine and a $50 gift certificate for the Viking store in Joann's. I bought a very cool stippling foot. So now I am learning how to do free-motion quilting on my machine. I don't have a stitch regulator on it so my stitches are all messed up as you can see here. I think it will take a lot of practice to be able to make all the stitches even. All I have to do for Sarah's quillow is do some quilting to hold the layers in place and put the pillow top on. I am relieve to have one of the three quillows almost finished. With how sick I've been with this baby I'm hardly getting anything done at all. I realized that I need to make two more balls. One that says "Peter" for Mike and Allison's son and one that says "Katy" because I already made one for her and I spelled it "Katie." I think I will attempt a trip to Joann's also to get a size H and I crochet hook since I lost the hook I was using for a blanket and I cannot finish it now. I wish I could find the hook or remember which it was because the stitches are going to be way off and I don't want to have to take the whole thing apart. That would stink.
