Hmm, to craft or not to craft.

I think the biggest question facing me this month is not Shakespeare's "To be or Not To Be", but whether or not to craft. Not so much, do I have the desire, but do I have the energy, and do I really want to be bothering my sleeping husband by blinding him with the lights while I sew. The answer is no, so alas, I haven't done much here this past week.

But i have been surfing, and getting inspired for a time in which I do feel more compelled to keep hubby up.

I found out what shirring was, and even a website as to how to do it. Maybe one day I will try it... I would probably have to buy a better machine, mine is so old I am not sure that a walking foot was even invented at the time, much less if it will take elastic thread!

Till I am inspired to actually try shirring, and feel confident enough that my machine can handle it, feel free to inspire yourself. Here is the link. Enjoy!

There are some great picture examples of shirring at the websites, but since I don't really know the copyright laws I always feel bad posting the pics without the sites permission and that is just too much work. What is the regulations on that??? How do we quote the pics so that it is legal?

Okay, so yes, I was tired of coming to the website and seeing Johanna's fabric still front and center. No, I haven't made anything lately... that I haven't given away. It's funny but I always seem to forget to take a picture of it too. Oh well.

So sorry, Johanna, but I think you are going to be pretty much alone for a few weeks. Marie is moving, Jo is birthing this baby one way or another, and I am leaving in a few days to travel the Eastern Seaboard. Guess you are off the hook for a while!!!

And what was so wrong with my fabric???? Okay, so even I was tired of seeing it.

Maybe it will be good when I am alone for a while. I am so behind on everything right now - I have to get caught up. My hand is constantly cramped from writing these literary writing prompts that I am working on. I cannot really do it on the computer first - I have to write out in longhand anything creative that I do. I journal in longhand every day, plus if I am writing lessons or anything like that, I just seem to be able to think better with a pen in my hand. But I am making tremendous progress lately! And who knows, maybe I'll surprise you all and have many things posted that I've made by the time you can all return to bloggin...
