We went to Lake Tahoe today!!!

Just wanted to post a picture of our day trip to Lake Tahoe today. It was snowing at the summit lightly so we got out to take a picture. Derrek and I had a good little day trip to Tahoe. There were chain controls but the weather got better by the time we got there. Derrek was a little bummed cause he loves to drive in the snow, but all in all it was a great day. We shopped at Thaoe City and had lunch then headed back. Gosh it is all so beautiful when everything has fresh coating of snow!

i clicked on the picture, which made it really big and it looks like it's snowing a lot! in my experience pictures never can capture very well how beautiful falling snow is. so i'd bet it was even prettier than it looks from here! did you buy anything interesting while shopping?

well...it looks pretty at first and then it gets driven on and next thing you know it's dingy brown and ugly and it's cold and it's wet.... i'm not a snow person. you sure do look happy though.

we spent the day yesterday at sea world, it was 85 degrees! isn't it lovely.

I'm with Kainoa - I would want the snow. Yes, Miss Pessimist, it does get driven on and dingy eventually. However, it is beautiful when it is falling! Looks like loads of fun to me!

Yes, it does get dingy and dirty, but the trees are beautiful and I love it! I wish we lived where it would snow at our house. It's sunny and nice in Florida and I glad you enjoy the weather. I lived in Hawaii for too long and I love the cold, I know I am crazy. We did have fun! I bought the beanie I am wearing cause my ears were frozen and I left my beanie in the car. That is about all we bought besides lunch! All in all it was great. I hope to do it again before winter is done.

Oh, the snow is beautiful! It rarely snows here and I do miss it... though I hate driving in snow. Last winter it only snowed once. After going through the previous winter in Ohio, my kids still whine for snow!
