I can cable! Woo Hoo! I wanted to give it a try and my friend Trish showed me the Irish Hiking Scarf... since that seems to be a must-knit for every new knitter I figured I would give it a go.... This is what I have so far (just started last night) I figured out really quickly that this is a scarf that I can only knit with all the kids asleep, ha ha. Too much going on while they are awake!
I also think I forgot to mention the books my brother in law got me for Christmas... aren't they great? The Toy Knits has that cute bunny pattern in it we were all talking about a while ago. I have a huge list of things that I want to knit, but am determined to finish what I have started so far. And, how did I possibly accumulate this much yarn so fast?? I keep ordering more for the projects I intend to start.... guess I should wait before I get anymore!

congrats on learning to cable!!! I love cables. I also love the Debbie Bliss Toy Knits. I have made several things from that book. Happy cabeling.
wow, that there is quite an impressive stash! i dig it.
I am so in awe, Tina! That looks great. Is it really hard? Or does it just require concentration?
Oh, and I am just like you - always preparing for another project when I still have one or 72 started!
Thanks :) Actually, cabeling was really simple, just like you said Johanna... needs a bit of concentration. Plus, it is loads of fun to do, I think, because the result is so pretty. Now, if I can just figure out the rest of my sock! ha ha ha
hahaha! one or 72! ha ha ha ha ha!!!
