Finished!!! Well, half-way!

I finally finished one sock... another month or two and I will have a pair!
Actually, I really enjoyed knitting this and I think it really helped teach me a lot... knitting in the round, picking up stitches, decreases. I can't wait to finish the other one and wear them... I guess I could wear it now, but I might look funny...

Looks fabulous! I'm glad you put a large picture up cause I was able to see the detail when I clicked on it. Your tension is very even and you did a really neat job picking up the stitches at the heel. You're right that knitting socks is a good way to improve knitting skills because it requires you to know more than just knit and purl. I'm assuming you also learned the kitchener stitch to seam the toe up. This is really good to know; I use it a lot. Good job!

Well, congrats. I love the sock and the color you chose for it. I could never do it myself (just a few stitchesmade my hands hurt like heck when I tried it) but I like the finished project! My mother in law used to be a big knitter too.... In fact the family started calling her socks hildes just cause she made so many pairs of them!

It is also nice to see something other than cooking up here... I was getting craft lonely! Not that cooking isn't a craft, but I perfer things that stay around a little longer.

Oh, Meagan, you're just sore because you didn't cook something! :) But, even I, the main food blogger here was happy to see crafted items you don't eat!
