Giddy

When I put my sewing machine away to scrapbook I didn't realize how much I would miss it. Today I sat at my machine to sew these pants for Ella and Sarah to wear to ballet and for pajamas and I was downright giddy. I had so much fun. I finished these in just a few hours. I used this pattern to cut them out but any pants/pajama pattern would do. I put the slits on the side and added the bow and balls at the bottom. Unbelievably cute!
I pray that all you ladies are blessed with a daughter to sew for.

Jo, the girls are adorable... so are the 'trousers'!
I know I've said this before, but I really wish I could sew!

i need a girl too! i tell shane that everytime caleb asks me to make him a big gun out of legos. i tried one time and it turned out more like a plane and he said, no, i need a place for my finger (the trigger). *sigh* i need a girl.

i love the material that you used! i don't know which one i like best!

i think i'm going to take sarah with me to the fabric store every time i go from now on because she picked out the pink and red stuff. i never would have picked that out and it's totally cute! ella picked out the zebra print because i made some pj's for del that are out of cow print and she wanted to match him. funny girl.

oh yeah, don't you think you could probably knit a weapon for caleb. i think a gun made out of yarn would go over well, as long as it has a place for his itchy trigger finger!

oh my gosh. joanna, you're crazy. although, i kinda want to. but i'm so torn. i shouldn't encourage violence. but shane says it's totally normal and he loved playing "war" when he was a kid. i am totally against the kind of guns that are plastic and life-like. but somehow a knitted gun seems harmless ... sort of. i feel better about myself that we have taught him to never point point the gun at mommy, any females or strangers. basically, that leaves shane. but i can't shake that feeling that it's still bad.

i bet you could make a pattern for a knitted gun and it would sell like crazy. go for it, marie.
