Hi Everyone,
So I have decided to get motivated and come back to post on the blog. I know I have been gone for a while, I just not have felt crafty and was kind of bored with what I was doing, so I decided to try some new things to mix it up a bit! I would like to learn how to knit after hearing so much fun things about it, plus I like it because you can take it anywhere! I also want to give scrapbooking a try, but we'll see how it all goes! I have fixed all the computer problems I was having and now I can start again! I LOVE all the goodies and crafty things that I have missed commenting on and look forward to posting again soon! I just have to go now and watch the DVD on how to knit and see what happens.....wish me luck!

Oh, how I wish I could be there to help you learn how to knit! It's not impossible to learn on your own though. I learned just from looking at the Vogue Knitting book. I was in Korea at the time, so my resources were very limited. After I got the basics down, I took an intro to knitting cause I was convinced I wasn't doing it correctly. I was. But I really think I needed someone to tell me I was doing it right in order to move on and do more complicated things. Maybe you should check out the intro knitting classes at Rumpelstitzkin (sp?) or Filati's (although I think the ladies there are pretty uptight and overtly profit-driven) if you get stuck. Just don't give up! there are so many cool things you can make. But don't be fooled that knitting is relaxing. You'll only be disappointed the first time you realize that you have to frog (rip out) something you just spent 4,538 hours knitting.
Oh my gosh I am so frustrated....i can't even cast on, the video is not really step by step helpful. its hard to hold the needles and pause the dvd all the time. Joanns has class but its on mon or thursday at 3pm. does no one work anymore???? I am not going to give up, I am just going to see what i can do with what I have and maybe try another way to learn besides a dvd.
welcome back. good luck with the knitting.
maybe you could try borrowing a book from the library. they should at least have vogue knitting. there are good step-by-step pictures.
Hey, welcome back! I pulled out my knitting lately, too. Let's see if I can make any progress. The problem is, right now I am so sick, even knitting or crocheting seems like too much effort! Hopefully soon.
I am sure someone here has suggested it, they did to me... but I LIVE for www.knittinghelp.com
The videos are so clear and easy to follow, she makes anything look easy!
Good luck and WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
