Pajamas and a Skirt

Johanna was wondering if I had actually gotten out my sewing machine. I sure did and to prove it here you have the St. Patrick's Day pajamas that I made for everyone but me and Lily. And you can see our special breakfast of green eggs, green Irish Oatmeal Pancakes, green pineapple bread and green orange juice. The kids really get a kick out of St. Patrick's Day. We always watch the VeggieTales version of what St. Patrick's Day is about; it can be found on The Sumo of the Opera.

And, I finished my mom's skirt that I told her I'd make at Christmas. I bought the fabric and then went out with her and let her pick out her favorite skirt pattern and then I bought that (for 99 cents and Joann's, woohoo) and it's been sitting around all this time. I think it turned out really well. I can't wait to give it to her so she can try it on. I hope it's not too short. I like it so much that I am going to make myself one to wear on Easter Sunday. I made version A for my mom; I'll make version C for myself because I'm a busy mama and I NEED pockets.

oooh! I love the pattern of the fabric and the skirt pattern also. It does look shorter than what's pictured, but that is probably cause the models legs are twice as long as a normal woman. If it is short, you're dad will really like it :)

ROFL, Marie! That would be one benefit of it being shorter!

Love the skirt, Joanna. And your St. Pat's breakfast looks magically delicious!

(yeah, so I didn't even wish you a happy birthday until like 5 days later and your card is still sitting on my desk as I type this)
Also, am I the only one that totally forgot St.Pats day?
