I was surfing over at Sew, Mama, Sew and the latest post over there was talking about finishing seams. I tend to do the overlock on several items I make (I have access to a serger as well as my regular machine doing an overlock stitch) but it takes a lot of thread to do so sometimes I wonder if there is a better way to do it.
