Last week was my oldest's birthday. Aaron turned 5 on Wednesday. It is always so bittersweet for me when he has a birthday. In many ways I feel like he was just born, but in others, it has been a lifetime. I cannot really remember what day to day life was like without children, and he was the first. Anyway, he wanted a Cars/Hotwheels birthday, so we mixed themes for him. He had so much fun turning five.

You guys are young whippersnappers. I'm older than you guys! I mean, what I'm a whole two and a half months older than Johanna and exactly four older than Marie!
hmmm, that makes me feel a lot better.... and hey, at least I am not the youngest either!
Oh, i want some 90+ degree weather. It is soooo cold here :-( We are all freezing, but I keep telling my family that NO WAY am I turning on my heat in MAY. So, we all get to freeze.
Oh- and I love that cake... now Aidan wants one just like it for his birthday!
