Is He Trying To Tell Me Something?

Mother's Day. The day when people make a big deal out of people that should be made a big deal out of every day. Did that make sense? How about the vocab? Genius level, right? OK, I'll get to the point.

I have the best husband EVER. He's better than anybody else's husband, and that's the truth...in my humble opinion. For some reason, he can't remember to take out the trash every day without me having to tell him, but he is a pro, a regular genius when it comes to remembering things that I say I want or would like or coming up with things on his own that he knows I will love and then giving them to me on special occasions or just randomly. I love it. Why am I not more appreciative of him? This is why Mother's Day and Father's Day should be celebrated every day...or maybe I should call it "Husband's Day."

So check out what Del gave me. First, there was a plant. A Star of Bethlehem. Do you know we had these flowers at our wedding!? Isn't he romantic? Attached to the plant (that I will plant in the ground at our house when/if we ever get it) was a very funny card (in which he blamed me for losing all his socks) and a gift card. The gift card was to The Rolling Pin Kitchen Emporium. It's for $50!!! And do you know what I'm going to do with this gift card???? I'm going to take cooking classes! First, I think I'm going to take a knife class, so that I can learn to properly use my knives and sharpen them. Then I want to take this class. You get to make food and then learn to photograph it for magazine covers!!!! Isn't that the best. They have so many classes I want to take. I am very excited!

that's such a great gift! with all these new skills you are obtaining, one of the girls are sure to be a chef when they grow up.

excuse while i point out that you are so wrong. you're husband is not better than everyone else's. mine is. i mean, your's is best for YOU and mine is best for ME! despite my incessant complaints, my husband is the best cause he doesn't play video games. no contest there. for reals.

ROTFL!!!!

I agree about the video games, but you know what, I think I've finally weaned Del off of those. Who has time for them anymore???

That is a really awesome gift! I of course knew what my gift was before I got it because none of my boys can keep a secret! I got the Willow Tree figurine "Cherish" that I had been wanting and a CD that I had been wanting, too. Very cool.

Ahhhh, it's so pretty. Where are you going to put it?

It is on my mantle next to two of the other ones I have - New Life and Quietly. I really like these figurines. I have a few others that I keep in the nursery, too.
