I'm sewing three skirts for Tina so she doesn't have to pay $80 for one. Aren't I a good friend? OK, anyway, I'm sewing and cutting and sewing and contemplating and I realize that I'm sewing with the wrong side of the fabric as the right side of the fabric. I really did use all my seamstress powers to try to determine the right side of the fabric correctly. I believe I am horribly wrong. Which means that I must take out pleats, hems and seams to correct this problem. It's a good thing I haven't done things like iron on interfacing and sew in the zipper.
Right side.
Wrong side.
It looks fine with the outside as the inside and if I was sewing it for myself I'd probably just leave it, but since it's for Tina I better go so I can fix this mess.

I can sorta tell that the right side is the right side and wrong side is the wrong side, but it's really hard. Especially, since I can't click on the picture and do a better inspection on a super magnified view.
:-)
You rock, Jo.
Admit it,though... you are just trying to guilt me into buying you some more spotted dick...
ROTFL!!!!! Um...no that's OK, you can keep it for yourself.
Oh, I would just cry! I'd probably throw something, too!
It's hard to tell the difference, isn't it. I flipped and flipped and flipped the fabric over before I ever cut it out and still I got it wrong. But I watched Emma last night while I ripped out every single last stitch and now the fabric is waiting to be ironed and re-sewn. That was half the battle. The first half was actually picking up the seam ripper. Now it's done and the rest is fun.
lol... you are such a good friend.
I guess I can see the difference. It is hard to tell in the pictures, but I think it has to do with the middle part in between the pattern channels... in the right side it is all together, in the wrong side it has a extra stripe in the middle between the channels.
