Skirt Number Two: Accomplished

I could just cry with relief right now. My mom took the three older kids with her to St. Augustine this past week so it's just been me and Lily. She also took school with her. I've been really stressed out about school. You know how you get stressed that you're behind in something and then you feel like you can't do anything else until you finish this thing that you're behind in so you don't do anything else even though you have a million projects to do and you're sick because you're pregnant so instead of doing anything at all you just wallow is self-pity and get even more behind day after day? Well, that's been me lately.

But Mom took the school and the kids with her and now school is almost all caught up and I spent the week not feeling guilty about sewing up this skirt. It was much easier than the last one and I really like it! I feel relieved that it's one more thing I can check off my list of things I need to do.

What do you think? Isn't it lovely? Sorry for the blurry pictures.

There are just a couple of things that I'm unhappy with but they are things that only practice, practice and more practice can fix. Overall, I'm very happy with the skirt and really enjoyed working with the linen. It's nice and heavy. I tried it on and the skirt falls about two inches or so below my knee.

wow! it looks like something you could buy in a store! I love the look of linen. The scarf is a really nice touch.

Great Job. Pretty soon you'll have to start taking orders! (and you were already feeling behind in your projects.)
