Bit by the Sewing Bug

So I guess you could say that I have been hit by the sewing bug again...

and this is my latest sewing indulgence...

This is only the first one that I made, and since the doll is only around 8 inches from head to toe, I can make it out of scraps and other small pieces.... and it actually isn't even as time consuming as one might think... and I think that will be especially true as I make more of them.

I found the pattern on Martha, though it actually comes from the blog, Inside a Black Apple. I can't say though that I really want to make any of the other ones I see on her blog, or that I like a lot of the fabrics that she chooses. I also have decided that the legs look out of proportion to the rest of the doll, so I think I am going to kind of redesign her... but nothing as elaborate as Emily at Inside a Black Apple does...

She looks so cute! I think you are right about the legs though, maybe just shorten them a tid bit so they will match up with her arms. What does Savannah think of the doll? She looks good to carry around and soft.

The doll is adorable. Seems like it would be a fun pattern to play around with and make your own :-)
