Sew On

The sewing room is nearly complete. Marie came and inspired us o put it together. Mom and I kept looking at the room and shaking our heads in dejection and resignation that it would never get put together. Or at least that it would be a long time coming.

Marie helped us stain the two taller bookshelves you see there and then she emptied out boxes and boxes and boxes...mostly of fabric. Doesn't it look fabulous!

Our first project in the sewing room are these cute little baby doll slings. One for each of the three older girls. Ella is sewing hers all by herself, I am helping Sarah and teaching her to sew and then Rachel's I'm just doing myself.

I am JEALOUS of your beautiful and inviting sewing room. I love that you have so much space with a bright window too! I am so happy for you to have your own home and you can have your own sewing room. Can't wait to see all the creations coming out of it! Good job on teaching the girls how to sew, maybe sometime they can sew you something!

Jo, that looks great :-) I sure wish I had a craft room!
Hmmm, I will have to come see that room for myself sometime...

Looks good! I notice you got another bookcase. When will you be getting the tables for all the sewing machines?

I keep thinking that Ella is too young to learn to sew. I have to remind myself that she'll be 8 this year! Don't you feel old? :)
