Some Pretty Hefty Loot

I was thinking to myself that sometimes this blog makes me feel guilty for not crafting more. Isn't that ridiculous?! I hope you guys don't feel that way.

Anyway...so Meagan really has been busy. Here are pictures of things that Meagan made. The bag is perfect for me. Green/brown corduroy (LOVELY) and messenger type. I like it. We used it yesterday, too. The bibs are where all the ribbing frustration came from. I think they're fantastic bibs. We have rarely used bibs with our kids because they're too small, or too plastic, or to hard to keep on or simply too expensive but both Del and I agree that these are great bibs.

Yesterday was Ella's birthday. She is 6 years old. I can hardly believe that she's 6 already. Here's the finished over-the-shoulder bag I made for her. I think besides the African Violet that my grandmother got for her, it's her favorite gift. O.K., maybe the bike was a pretty good runner up to the African Violet and THEN my bag. Anyway, I found that the beads just come off. I have to figure out a better way to put them on. Or maybe break out the super glue or something. I used all my pink and white beads on it so now I'm missing a pink one and a white one and I don't want to buy more beads. Not sure what I'm going to do about that. Yesterday was also my parents 35th anniversary. People constantly ask them "how they do it." I am always so grateful for such a wonderful example of commitment and faithfulness in my life. They aren't always the perfect picture of harmony but they are always the perfect picture of agape love, something you don't see very often anymore.

Meagan came to see me last week. She came Saturday night and went home Sunday evening. She helped me shop for some last minute baby stuff (like diapers, an essential in my book) and some homeschool items. It was a pleasure to see her and I am grateful that at least one of my friends lives close enough to hop over for a day.

No more news on the baby. I have 4 more days to go into labor naturally or they'll give me a c-section so keep praying. Tomorrow would be good for having a baby because the doctor that agreed to a VBAC for me is on call. I hope you are all doing well, haven't heard from you in a while.

Well Happy Birthday to Ella. She's turned 6 already, eh??? Nope, sorry Ella, no more birthdays for you now. You have had too many to count on one hand. That means you have reached your limit.... hehehe

Congrats to Grandma and Grandpa too. Way to go!

Glad you guys really like the bibs. If I were to redo them I think I would have bought a flannel or maybe done them in chennile(sp?). After washing the terrycloth felt sorta thin... I think I may have lined them too. That would have solved the ribbing issues too.

Anyways, I keep holding you and Lily before the Lord every day, praying she will make the deadline that the stupid docs have set. Hmm, seems that this has given me another reason as to why I don't like doctors.

Awesome loot from Megan!! And I am so jealous that Megan actually got to see you...the drive would be just a bit too long with two kids in tow at this point.

I too am praying constantly that Lily will just come on out. Tell her she's a big girl now and if she doesn't move out, she's gonna have to start paying some pretty hefty rent!! :)

thanks for the prayers and for the idea on a title for this post.
