Cooking, Baking, Sewing

What else is there?

I was watching Everyday Italian the other day and the thing that Giada was making looked so totally yummy that I made her entire menu from that show. The lasagna rolls were delicious, the fried zucchini was even better. I made the donuts the next day but they didn't turn out so hot, but I did make my own pizza dough instead of using store-bought pizza dough. This is a picture of the lasagna rolls before I baked them.
Yesterday I made some more challah. Because it is Rosh Hashana, I did not braid the bread. It was delicious. I tried to take the other loaf to my neighbors but they were not home so I'll have to try again, maybe tomorrow.
These are "lab jackets" we made for the Ella and Sarah for science this year. They will be conducting some basic experiements about weather and stuff like that so mom bought the shirts at a Goodwill and I made the 'E' and 'S'; I used Heat 'n Bond Lite to iron them on and zig-zag stitched around the outside. I think they're pretty darn cute!

OMG! I am so jealous! I lOve Giada, and I can't wait to make the lasagna rolls and fried zucchini...that is my favorite. How do you do it all?

we have to change our name. kainoa doesn't have any kids so we can't be called mothers of invention. kainoa, have some kids. it'd probably be easier than renaming this blog. ha ha!

Ha Ha ...you are funny, you can loan me one of yours anytime. I like the kind you can give back at the end of the day and get a full nights rest. Got any of those? I was kinda thinking about the name too, but I am fine with it, Derrek is a good kid. LOL.

i think derrek qualifies as a kid :)

i love giada too. although i hate that she *always* shows off her cleavage. i think it's so unprofessional, but maybe that's just cause i have none to show off myself. i bought one of her books not too long ago and have yet to make something.

jo, it's so nice to see my old fabric in your projects. the red fabric at the bottom of the "E" was the wrapping for the cookies we put out at our wedding for favors. isn't that so neat that it is now on ella's lab coat?

it irritates me that she's shows off her cleavage, too.

yeah, i like it that your fabric shows up in my sewing so often, too. you have very good taste.

Don't pay attention to the cleavage...keep your eyes on the food. I know what you mean though. Hey Marie what cookbook of hers do you ahve?
