A piece of this and a piece of that

Hello everyone, seems like a long time since I was here. I did some little cooking"crafting" projects this weekend. I finished my ball, but forgot to take a picture, but it looks pretty good for the first one. I also, made banana nut bread mini muffins pasta salad, and Derrek (yes, Derrek) made french dip sandwhiches. They were INCREDIBLE! YUMO! Anyways not much else. I found out on Friday at 4pm that I am getting transfered to another store starting Monday morning and now I have to commute 20 miles each way! I am kind of bummed, but I have heard nothing but good things about the store, and it also fills less prescriptions in a day, so I will be able to breath and relax more! I just hope it all works out, I still will be going to the new store I talked about a while back, but for now this is temporary too. I just hope the drive is not as bad as I've know it to be. Ok, so I rambled on enough about that. Pretty much else I've been trying to relax!!!!! I am now going to attempt to make the puzzle ball with all the triangles, with my sewing machine, haha, this could be really funny! Oh, my book, I forgot to mention this cool book I got at Barnes and Nobles! I think I might have to use a project in here for my secret santa, since I am also know in my family as Miss Procrasinator. Thats all for now... I hope you are all doing well and enjoying your families!

I made banana bread this weekend too! I also tried to make french bread but that didn't turn out so well. I have been eyeing that book because I love Joelle Hoverson. I want so badly to go to her shop in NY. I want to get the knitting version of this book. I just ran into a blog where the lady made one of the balls in there. I will post a link soon.

wow, that book looks really neat! I recently saw that book and thought "gosh, that looks like my kind of book". can't wait to see what you make from it.

i really like a good french dip. i used to get that everytime i went to bennigan's. of course, it's been ages since i've been to a bennigan's so maybe they don't serve that anymore. are those your muffins? they look like those french cruellers??? you get from the donut shop. they look tasty. good job!

btw, i sew the triangle ball on my sewing machine and it turned out just fine. i made a bigger one by hand and i had more control over the points coming together. they are really cute though. i gave them as a birthday present. you can see a picture on the april 12 post.

Oh, Jo, yes the muffins do look kinda wierd, I think it is because of the pan I used, next time I will not cook it so long. You only learn by doing though right. BTW, if you want Derreks french dip recipe I can send it to you! It has to cook in the crock pot though. let me know! Thanks for the tip on the triangle ball, I was thinking it is kind of small, but we will see what happens.
