Kitchen Frustration

Why is it that the more I make a recipe, the worse it turns out? Why does it seem like I must use a brand spanking new recipe every time I make something for it to turn out well? Maybe it's God teaching me how to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. Yeah, that's what it is, I'm going with that.

My pita isn't turning out well anymore. I'm going to blame it on the price of olive oil.

Ummm, how does the price of an ingredient change the outcome of the finished product???

I do understand your frustration though. That must be why I make a new recipe almost every time I make dinner!

Olive oil got expensive...very expensive so since we're trying to cut back on some of our expenses in the grocery arena I've been foregoing olive oil. waaaaaaaahhahahhaaaaaaaa, waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I miss it. I saw it was a little bit cheaper the last time I was at the grocery store. We're still waiting for a buy one get one free. The pita recipe calls for olive oil and since I have stopped using olive oil in it, the pita hasn't been the same.

well there you go, now you know why it doesn't work quite right. I hear there is a place here in St Augustine where you can get it realatively cheap.... haven't been in to look but maybe you or your mom can get in there... it is the discount groceries place on 16 near Masters Drive. I heard about it through my OB and she said it is all good stuff just kind of like the scratch and dent type stuff. But hey, who says it has to stay in the original container it came in?

But if you don't make the pita and you have to start buying mass-produced bread, won't you end up spending more than the bottle of olive oil?
