I get to be the lucky one to announce that Meagan is finally NOT pregnant anymore.
Zoe Michelle was born this morning, July 1, at 9:46. She weighed 8 pounds even and is 20 inches long. Meagan is doing well but, understandably, very tired. She just went to sleep.
I get to go up this weekend and see them! Yeehaw! She said she has a few pictures but obviously doesn't have a way to post them, so we'll get some up sometime. Maybe Leah will see them before I do and she can post pictures?

new kid on the block
*stepping shyly forward to introduce myself* Hi everyone, I'm Leah. I'm friends with Meagan, and it looks like she's already mentioned a little about me. We've been friends since high school, and she first showed me this blog months ago. I think it's such a neat idea! I occasionally show her some of my projects, and after my recent "pitiful" attempt at knitting she said she thought I should join your group to share what I've been up to.
Like Meagan said, I live in Titsuville FL, I'm not married, and I have no kids. I work for NASA, and I've been here for just about 3 years. I would also like to mention that it is the beginning of February and I had my airconditioner on yesterday... we don't really know what winter is here in Florida haha.
As for crafting... I love to scrapbook, and I also love to travel, which does give me quite a few things to scrapbook about. I also like to crotchet and cross stitch. My sewing skills are pretty much nil - I have reattached a few buttons in my day, but that's about it. I'd like to learn eventually, but I think it will have to wait until I get a sewing machine, which will have to wait until I have the space for it. (I'm currently renting out both of the extra rooms in my house. One girl will move out at the end of the summer, and the other probably by the end of the year.) I've recently tried to learn about to knit, which has been, well... interesting, to say the least.
So that's my "brief" introduction. I look forward to participating more with you all. thanks for having me, (even if i'm not a mother.)

Hi!!

Hey! This is Tina. Jo gave me another link, since I misplaced the first (can you lose a link?), to join in. I have been reading your blog for quite a while and am sooo jealous at how talented you all are.
I feel a bit like a cheater, since I have almost no crafty ability at all. Mostly I scrapbook, but with 4 kids I don't even do that as often as I would like. BUT, I have a good friend here that has agreed to teach me to knit! I am very excited. :-) Now all I have to do it get rid of my in-laws so I can start!
Ummmm, wondering if I should do a quick intro? I live in England with my family. 5 kids in all- my husband, 6yr old Katherine, quite nearly 5 yr old Aidan, just a breath away from being 2 year old Elena, and our newest 2 month old Jack. (just ask Jo, my husband certainly qualifies as a kid).
I can't wait to have something exciting to post! Like my first horrible attempt at knitting!
Wish me luck!
OH- here is a pic of us all in Scotland last week...
