Fried Rice

So I made Fried Rice (it's a hawaii favorite) for breakfast this morning and just had to show you all. Derrek loved it! He said Marie used to make him yummy fried rice when he was younger, but he can't always wait for her to make it, so I had to learn. Want some?

what's the matter with you marie! give that boy some fried rice. all my kids get fried rice at least monthly if not more!

did i tell you i had spam musubi? some people opened a hawaiin food restaurant right down the stree from us and they serve all sorts of hawaiian stuff and one of their pupus was spam musubi and i have to admit it was really good. they also had pork...i can't remember what the pork was called but mom and dad said it was more fatty than on maui. i had the island breakfast with eggs, rice and some spicy sausage. it was really good. it's too bad i didn't know they were opened when you were here because we could have gone.

Ok, so first of all I have to admit I get a little help from a packet made by Noh called Chinese fried rice mix. It is a powder mix, then I use at least one to two day old white sticky rice. I also cook everything seperate. I also add a little sugar to the egg, yes sugar, it makes a good flavor. Then I add the rice, then the meat and so on...I also add some stir fry sauce and some soy sauce, I don't have measurements, cause I just dump. If I feel like it I also add garlic or onion powder then when its all done I mix some fresh green onion to it. The key is to cookit all seperate and then add it all back in the pan one by one. Sound complicatd, but it is really not! I hope this helps! Good luck. You can add whatever meat you want. Sausage, por, chicken whatever! Have fun! If you want me to send you a pacet of the seasoning I can do that too!
